JCA NY Scholars Lecture Series by Rahul Kapoor Jain on Live an Extra Ordinary Life – A Jain Approach

Sunday, July 19, 2015

Jai Jinendra,

We are fortunate to have Mr. Rahul Kapoor Jain give a Motivational Lecture at our Jain Center of America, in Queens, NY.

He is a highly regarded Motivational Speaker from India that talks about integrating Professional & Family Life with a Jain Way of Life.

He was a speaker at the JAINA Convention in Atlanta and highly appreciated by our Young as well as Professional Adults.

Speaker: Mr. Rahul Kapoor Jain
Subject: A] Work Life Balance
B] Live an Extra Ordinary Life – A Jain Approach
Date: Sunday, July 19, 2015
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Venue: 2nd Floor Sthanak Hall | Jain Center of America, NY
Lunch: Swamivatsalya following the Lecture

A] Work Life Balance:

In the blind race to chase power, popularity, pleasure and wealth people seem to have forgotten the art of living. The unhealthy choices that people make in favor of work eventually complicate relationships, increase stress and affect their productivity both at home and at workplace.

This inspirational talk brings in a fresh paradigm to this new-age problem. Laced with insights from our ancient Indian & Jain scriptures, modern day scientific discoveries, interesting statistics, relevant live examples, well timed humor and high impact emotional touch makes this program worth its while for anybody who is seeking happiness both at work and in life.

B] Live an Extra Ordinary Life – A Jain Approach:

Today, where the principle of 'survival of the fittest' is being advocated in the world we still practice 'respect for everyone’s right to live' with compassion being the central theme of all our actions. In a world, where people are breaking all rules of integrity in the name of growth, Jainism, still guides us on the path of universal justice. Such is the brilliance of Jainism, a religion that we have earned due to our past karmas.

However, with all the distractions that exist in the world, there is always a need to reinvent the manner in which we present Jainism to our people, especially the youth. This program does exactly that with its strong thought provoking logical explanations and plenty of live examples, exercises and well timed introspections.

RathYatra

Jai Jinendra,
Dear Sadharmik Brothers and Sisters,
We would like to bring to your kind attention that the preparations for the Rath Yatra are in full swing. Naresh T. Shah is leading the team of volunteers to pull through a beautiful ensemble of Jain Principles and Philosophy. We are going to have our Rath Yatra on June 13, 2015 at our Ithaca Street Temple.
The Yatra will have a beautiful Indra Dhwaja, 4 Floats, a Band, Dholi, 3 open cars, live music and our beautiful rath with our Arihant Bhagwan in them. The floats are being developed / created with beautiful themes of Non Violence, Namokar Mantra, Ashtapad and stories that depict Jain Faith. The dress for Sarathi, Chhadidar, Bhagwan's father and Indra will be provided by JCA. All other persons sitting in Rath should be in Pooja Cloths and without shoes. We will be starting sharp at 9:00 AM - as we have to finish our route by 12 Noon Sharp.
The enthusiasm of the seniors, volunteers, Art Gallery, Religious coordinators and temple's employees is beyond what we could have asked for, to put this up in such a short time. What we are now waiting to ensure is that the weather turns out beautiful, and why not, it is a yatra of our Bhagwan - so the Meghkumar Dev will take care of what they have to !!!!!

Children below age 8 - Beautiful colorful Indian attire
