Are you ready for the Tirth Yatra? It's less than a week and we want to make sure you pick up your ticket and aware of some Rules/Regulations for the Yatra. We have 275 members and 5 buses for the Yatra: 1 bus from Hicksville, 1 bus from Floral Park, 1 bus from Sunnyside and 2 buses from Ithaca Street.
Please Pick your bus ticket from the Temple.

Saturday, September 20th
  6:00 AM -  Check-in time @ Bus location
  6:30 AM -   Departure from Union Tpke and Ithaca St. (6:15 AM from Hicksville)
  8:30 AM -   Arrive Siddhachalam - Chaitya Vandan, Puja, Darshan & Breakfast
11:00 AM -   Depart from Siddhachalam to PittsburghTemple
  2:00 PM -   Rest Area Break (Lunch packet will be served)
  5:00 PM -   Arrive Pittsburgh Temple - Darshan, Bhakti Bhavna & Dinner
  7:00 PM -   Depart from Pittsburgh to Hotel
10:00 PM -   Arrive Holiday and Hampton Inn Hotel for night stay
Sunday, September 21st
  8:00 AM -   Depart Holiday and Hampton Inn Hotel to Cleveland Temple - Breakfast in Hotel only
  8:30 AM -  Arrive Cleveland Temple - Chaitya Vandan, Puja, Darshan
11:00 AM -   Lunch
12:00 PM -  Depart Cleveland Temple to NY
  3:00 PM -  Rest Area Break
  6:00 PM -  Rest Area Break (Dinner packet will be served)
10:00 PM -  Arrive in NY
Rules to follow:
1.  Be on time and observe the schedule so we can complete the Yatra as per plan.
2.  Take all your required medicines.
3.  Pack minimum Clothes/Jewelry in a small bag.
4.  Do Not damage bus or hotel property. You will be liable for your action. Please keep them clean including Bus Restroom.
5.  Jain Center of America, Trustees and Executive Committee will not be held responsible for any kind of lost property and/or personal injury
to anyone at any time during the entire Yatra.
6.  JCA Executive Committee will reserve all rights to change/modify Yatra at any time without prior notice, as and if required.
7.  Room assignment are done by Hotel Management according to your request. Jain Center of America will not be held responsible for any
room allotment.
8.  No car will be allowed to park inside the JCA parking area for members who are travelling in this yatra.

We need sponsors for the Bus, Water and Food/Snacks, which can be done as an individual or in a group. Your kind co-operation in this matter will be highly appreciated.

We are still looking for Sponsors so any Members who are interested in sponsoring the event (Individual or Joint), should give their names to the Executive Committee Members and/or JCA Office.
Gheeboli will be held for Swapna Darshan, Sonani Mala (Gold Chain) and Motini Mala (Pearl Chain). Following 5 Swapnas and its Sonani and Motini Mala will be given thru a DRAW. There will be donation of $151/- for one entry to the DRAW. All names will be kept in draw. First draw will take place for 5 Swapna Darshan; Second draw will be for 5 Sonani Mala and third draw will be for 5 Motini Mala. You can have as many entries as you want by donating $151/- for each entry. You will have maximum 15 chances to get Swapna draw. However the winning entry will not be eligible for the next draw. Please participate generously and give your names to any of the committee members on or before the time of lucky draw on Saturday Aug 23, 2014. Draw will take place before the Swapna Darshan Ceremony starts. Bhagyashali who takes the Ghee Boli of Mata Pita of Lord Mahavir should arrive at the hall at 2:30 PM as the Vargoda procession will start at 3.00 PM sharp.

This year for Paryushan and Das Lakshan Maha Parv we are going to have following dignitaries/scholars for various traditions to help people do Aaradhana and take Dharma Labh.

Upadhyay Sadhvi Yashji Maharaj was born in Lonavala, Pune, India in 1944 and took Diksha in Mumbai, India in 1962. She had her B.A. from Pune University and Sahitya Ranta from Varanasi Hindu University. She has revered "Upadhyay" by Rashtra Sant Upadhyay Shri Amarmuniji Maharaj among many saints of India from all religions. From 1998 to 2002, she did religious study from the Acharya Shri Chandanaji. She is qualified in thorough & deep study of Acharang Sutra, Sukti Triveni, Tatvartha Surtra, Uttradhayayan Sutra and other Jain Shastra.

She have deep knowledge and command on Vedic, Jainism and Buddhism Shastra. She is also well versed with Prakrit, Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and English Language. She is been Working with Pujya Acharya Shri Chandanaji in the field of Education, Social Services & Meditation with full devotion and dedication.

She is Great Orator (excellent speaking and writing skills), attractive and Gravitational Speech. She visited many countries, like - Australia, Africa, USA etc. for Meditation on the Occasion of Paryushan Mahaparva and many other spiritual programmes of the Jain, Buddha and Vedic Religion.


Sadhvi Rohiniji Maharaj was born in Nagpur, India in 1972 and took her diksha in 2002 at Agra, India. She had her B.A. from Nagpur University and from 1998 to 2002, she did her religious study from the Acharya Shri Chandanaji.

Sadhvi Rohinji Maharaj did deep study of Acharang Sutra, Sukti Triveni, Tatvartha Surtra, Uttradhayayan Sutra and other Jain Shastra.

She is Melodious singer and known following languages: Hindi, Marathi, Rajasthani, Gujarati and English. She visited many places in India and abroad like Singapore, Malaysia, Muscat etc. for religious Speech and Meditation on the occasion of Paryushan Mahaparva.


Brahmacharini Vijaya Didi is from Indore, India. Although she is well-versed in all of the main Jain scriptures, she has given most of her lectures on the Tattvartha Sutra and Das Laxan Dharma.

Born in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh on May 6, 1964, she received her M.A. in Sanskrit from Lalitpur University. She has also completed the Shastri and Siddhanta Ratna degrees in Jainism, which are the equivalent of a B.A. and M.A., respectively, in Jain scripture. Both of these degrees were completed from the Kundkund Gyan Pith in Indore.

Vijaya Didi took her vows of bhramacharya on Deepawali day in 1985 under the spiritual guidance of Acharya Shri Vidhyasagarji Maharaj in Aharji, Uttar Pradesh. For the past Sixteen years, she has resided in the Udasin Shravika Ashram in Indore. The Ashram has been run under the guidance of Bhramacharini Manubaiji for the past forty-Eight years and, today, it is home to sixty shravikas. At the Ashram, Vijaya Didi spends her days imparting her vast knowledge of the scriptures to the newer shravikas and absorbing as much new information as she can from more Pundit Ratanlalji Shastri of Indore.


Shri Lalit Bhai is a Main Trustee of TAPOVAN SANSKAR PITH, Ahmedabad, India, which was started by Shri Panyasji Chandrashekarvijayji Maharaj Saheb. Tapovan's main aim is to encourage and re-establish the high moral values and our cultural values towards the right ways of leading life. Their goal is to import high quality education which will help in bringing back the traditional culture and values.

Tapovan also seek to impart the importance of salvation and good values and behavior in life which makes a student physically, academically and socially sound and help to adjust his life in a better way and help to beautify a student mentally and spiritually.

Shri Lalitbhai has been conducting Paryushan Maha Parv in America, and India for past number of years by blessing and under direction of Panyasji Shri Chandrashekarvijayji Maharaj Saheb. He does conduct Musical Bhavana bhakti, various puja's like Ashtapad Puja, Punch Kalyanak Puja etc. in which people can participate and enjoy and do bhakti. He has been training lot of youngster and children of Jain community in Tapovan in these events for last number of years.


Shri Nippun Shah was born in 1954 and have been associated with Vardhaman Sanskar Dhaam for 20 years and engage in social activities like Jeev-Daya.

He is been serving Jain communities in small village and towns during paryushan with proper vidhis of pratikaman, Jain Vanchan and thereby enhancing knowledge on Jainism. He received positive response of villages covered during Paryushan are Mudra, Bhilad, Karad, Umargaon, Shahpur, Vita, Virar, Rajivnagar, Vasda, Billimora, Sinor, Alkapuri, Talegaon, Limdi,Palej, Dahanu, Satna, Nerul, Ichalkaranji and was rewarded accordingly.

He is continuously learning of 5 pratikaman Sutra with meaning, Stavan with 27 bhav, Chaityavandan, Thoy and also have knowledge on Astaprakari puja, 18 Abhishek puja, Pousadh Vidhi.


Shri Ankit Shah has been associated with Tapovan since 1994. From the time of Inception of Tapovan, Ahmedabad, India, he had stayed and studied for 8 long years in Tapovan up to 2002 and completed his High School.

He has been groomed and has studied in Tapovan Sanskar Pith. He can deliver lectures in Gujarati, Hindi and English. He have been at San Jose (USA), UK, Kenya and several India centers for Paryushan celebrations in last 15 years.

By occupation, he working as Manager-Procurement in a leading infrastructure company of INDIA. On educational background, he completed MBA in Finance & and MCom. Commerce.

Jain Center of America (JCA) and Young Jain Professionals (YJP) has planned an intensive three day JAIN Academic Lecture Series at Shri Siddhachalam Jain Tirth from Friday (Evening) - June 27, 2014 to Sunday (Afternoon) - June 29, 2014. The JCA & YJP Academic Series is limited to the First 75 Attendees Only on a first come, first served basis.
One of the lectures series will be conducted by Prof. Jeffery D.
